Job Summary

ERA Projects is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Finance Officer to oversee financial operations, maintain accurate accounting records, monitor cash flow, and support financial planning and reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, budgeting, and Bahrain VAT requirements. Experience in the construction or contracting industry is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily financial and accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Monitor cash flow, company expenses, project costs, and budget performance.
  • Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and review journal entries.
  • Monitor supplier payments, customer collections, outstanding invoices, and subcontractor accounts.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Bahrain VAT requirements and company financial policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, banks, suppliers, clients, and internal departments.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities and audit preparations.
  • Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend improvements to financial controls.
  • Assist management with financial analysis, cost control, and decision-making.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a senior role.
  • Experience in construction, contracting, or project-based companies is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Knowledge of Bahrain VAT regulations and financial compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be currently available in Bahrain.
  • Immediate joiners are highly preferred.
