Job Title: Maintenance Foreman (Restaurant Group)

Location: Bahrain

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

The Maintenance Foreman is a vital, hands-on role responsible for keeping the business locations running smoothly, safely, and efficently. You will be the go-to person for fixing commercial kitchen equipment, organizing preventative maintenance, and managing local technician vendors. This role requires someone who takes personal pride in their work, respects the business values, and ensures our kitchens face zero downtime.

Core Responsibilities

* Hands-on Repairs: Troubleshoot and fix everyday issues with commercial grills, fryers, chillers, freezers, and ice machines.

* Facilities Care: Maintain restaurant interiors and exteriors, including minor plumbing (leaks, drains), electrical fixes (lighting, sockets), and light carpentry or painting.

* AC & Ventilation Maintenance: Monitor and service split units, package AC units, and kitchen exhaust hoods to ensure a comfortable dining climate, especially during summer months.

* Vendor & Contractor Management: Supervise local outsourced technicians (plumbers, electricians, AC specialists) for major specialized repairs.

* Preventative Checklists: Perform weekly and monthly walkthroughs to catch infrastructure issues before they disrupt daily restaurant operations.

* Government & Safety Compliance: Ensure all facilities meet Bahrain Municipality, Ministry of Health, and Civil Defence safety regulations.

* Emergency Response: Act as the first point of contact for urgent facility issues (e.g., sudden power trippings, gas line concerns, or water supply blocks).

Job Requirements & Qualifications

* Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of practical maintenance experience in Bahrain, ideally within restaurants, coffee shops, or small hotels.

* Local Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Bahrain’s local markets for sourcing spare parts (e.g., hardware hubs in Manama or Muharraq) and existing connections with reliable technical workshops.

* Language Skills: Conversational English is required to communicate with restaurant staff; knowledge of Arabic or Hindi/Malayalam is a major advantage for managing third-party workers.

* Driving License: Must possess a valid Bahrain Driving License to move quickly between our restaurant branches.

* Availability: Flexible schedule, including readiness to handle emergency evening or weekend breakdown calls.

Pay: BD400.000 - BD500.000 per month

Work Location: In person
