Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers warmly and take dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders accurately.
  • Operate the POS system efficiently and process cash, card, and digital payments.
  • Ensure accuracy in order entry, billing, payment processing, and receipt issuance.
  • Handle refunds, returns, exchanges, and order discrepancies in accordance with company policies.
  • Coordinate closely with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared, packed, and served promptly.
  • Monitor and update order statuses across delivery platforms and in-store systems.
  • Keep customers informed about their orders and manage waiting times professionally.
  • Answer customer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, promotions, and availability.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues to the manager when necessary.
  • Prepare and package simple items such as beverages and pre-packed products when required.
  • Monitor front-of-house and fridge stock, including beverages, bags, cutlery, napkins, and other packaging supplies.
  • Inform the kitchen or manager promptly when stock levels are low.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable cashier and counter area throughout the shift.
  • Track daily sales, complete end-of-day sales reports, and accurately reconcile the cash drawer.
  • Report any cash, payment, transaction, or order discrepancies to the manager immediately.
  • Support the team during busy periods to maintain smooth and efficient restaurant operations.

Experience & Requirements

  • Previous experience in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry is mandatory.
  • Previous experience as a cashier, counter staff, or front-of-house team member in a restaurant, café, bakery, or similar F&B establishment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience using POS systems and handling cash, card, and digital payment transactions.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced F&B environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling orders and payments.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members.
  • Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude.
