Hard work but decent pay

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Being a driver has its ups and down but mostly in terms of loading be expected to deliver 150-300 packages a day. They track your driving and scold you if you make mistakes so be ready for criticism when things might happen. They promise benefits but dont always follow up on it. If you really need a job work here but in terms of investing in a career I wouldn't suggest working here.

Revolving door

Money if you need it. Lots of hassle and very little real support. Training is not relevant to actual job, many things from training are needed to be immediately unlearned to achieve number of package deliveries required. Be in great physical shape or you will have difficulty.

Pros

Free coffee and bottled water

Cons

Asked to skip lunches and breaks to complete over-scheduled routes, shoddy delivery vehicles and handheld devices.

easy work beware of dogs

job is very easy and you make decent money if you aren't paying any serious bills, only complaint i really have is worrying about dogs attacking me when i deliver packages lol

Good pay

Decent gig.. decent pay. As long as you go in there prepared for an honest day's work you will be ok. Hours are kind of long but the days go by pretty fast

lots of favoritism

The dock management change 4 times in 8 months. Is a laid-back place to work but managers cater to certain people and give them the easy jobs and puts double work on others.

It was alright

Long hours and good pay. The area managers can be a bit overbearing sometimes but overall it’s not to bad if you don’t mind standing for 10 hours. I would recommend it.

Overworked, they take advantage of you

They will overwork you, you can work four days and rest three. They don't care about the drivers they only want to make money. You'll leave with about 300 packages and up to 180-200 stops every day. After you're done they'll have you rescue other drivers and have to pick up their slack. Not really worth working here even coworkers are a negative.

Pros

Paid weekly

Cons

Management, Workload, Netradyne

Loved and hated this job

First, the only thing I LOVED about this job was being able to listen to my music, get exercise and working alone. That's where it ends. During my interview I was led to believe I would get 40ish hrs a week. That never happened. Not once. I was never told they would find reasons to snatch your hours because they don't have enough routes(but they blame it on your performance so u feel like it's your fault). You are given unrealistic goals that must be met or u risk having ur hours taken away. They say you have adequate time to finish including the two on the clock 15 min and off the clock 30 min breaks. Lies! If that is the case why am I getting fussed at for dropping one to two behind due to gps sending me off route for a few miles? In that few mins I get behind so what happens if I take those 15 min breaks and lunch?? Exactly!! So you clock out for lunch and work for free otherwise u risk falling behind and losing hours. I would literally move non stop, didn't stop to text people, if I had to tinkle or even worse, take a deuce, I wld literally hold it for up to 10 hrs because the other option is to go in a container of some fashion because driving to a bathroom in some areas would take 10 mins and u get behind. It's ridiculous!

Busy

Fast paced and a good work out. Enjoy the culture and management . Recommend working there. Flexible hours and volunteer time off if you need to get off and get things done

Lol

Needed to understand more of how people get heat strokes and how they just force them to finish and doesn’t care if you’re pregnant or not lesson learned

Okay place to work.

Good hours. Good people. Decent pay for the type of work. It can get busy at times and fell a little overwhelming. Just stay focused and diligent. Customers can be a bit of a challenge at times

Productive

Always on your toes kept busy easy job where you don’t have to use ur brain as much but physically demanding must be able to stow at least 200+ packages boxes and jiffy’s within an hour pick n stage is easy but the bags are very heavy some over a hundred pounds coworkers and managers are fun to be around with

Run away

Everyone is into each other’s business and so much drama. I had couple nice managers and co workers but once u get injured and they lose benefit in u they try to get rid of u and thats what happened to me. Overall so much work for a very poor pay rate.

Overworked and Underpaid

Very demanding job! Dispatchers are out of touch with on the road or real time delays that can happen daily as packages are being delivered. Being micromanaged can be very distracting and at times managements communication efforts seem very rude and insincere. 3rd party delivery service partners for Amazon NEED to be held accountable for how they treat their employees!

Pros

4 day work week

Cons

Unrealistic delivery goals daily, Poor management

Fun workplace

Nice job, pay was good, flexible hours , they had paid time off as well as unpaid time off and also voluntary time off. It was a 10 hour shift with 2 15 min breaks and a 30 min lunch break

Production and products

Some routes were tough and some were easy. Just depending on what company you work for. The load timing could be early or late. And get rushed to load sometimes.

Flexible but stressful

The job would be better if Amazon understands that employees are human and they should value more their employees than the rude and picky customers. They rush you to load packages in the load out process but then talk about safety. If you do your job fast then they will send you to help others, if you don't help then they won't pay you the weekly bonus.

Pros

you own your time, 3 days off, flexible

Cons

mentally stressful, managers and amazon leadership don't care about your concerns, a lot of work for the amount of pay, no room to grow, no pay increase.

Flexible working hours, easy to work for, easy work, great hours and pay

Flexible working hours, easy to work for, easy work, great hours and pay, I would love to keep working there I love every job that I have I work at my job to the fullest of my ability. I’m very smart outgoing I will learn very quickly I had a photographic memory so you show me one thing I’ve got it

Pros

Great hours, great pay, flexible shifts and hours, great pay, 401(k) call mom great insurance

Cons

Short breaks, rude times, writes you up over simple things, I was very demanding job

Very busy

Honestly, I had a blast working here. If it wasn’t so physically demanding, I could see this turning into a career! Unfortunately, due to the physical demands, I had to leave. But the managers were very understanding and caring, the workers were nice and helpful. I feel like you honestly get what you put in. If you try to make friends, you’ll make some, but if you’re just there to get money and don’t care about friendships, you can work alone. In fact, that only time you’re really with another person is on lunch & breaks. It’s a fun job, you gotta learn how to adapt to changes and being organized is very beneficial to the job.

Pros

Free work shoes, great management, pay

Cons

Need more frequent breaks or longer breaks
