The most useful review selected by IndeedGreat entry level place to work, supportive management, amazing work life balance. You have to advocate for yourself to take on more projects. Pay is under the average for role.

Tough culture, interesting work
Account Executive (Current Employee) - New York, NY - September 28, 2023
It’s a hard product to sell. Too complex for what it is. The analysts are solid and the work is interesting. It’s not super flexible and there’s a lot of scrutiny placed on HOW the sale gets made.

Productive & Engaging
Account Executive (Current Employee) - Dallas, TX - September 27, 2023
Working at Gartner has propelled me into so many opportunities- the people are really what make this place feel home. Tons of room to grow and make your impact feel known.

Cool company
SDET (Former Employee) - Ft. Myers, FL - September 19, 2023
A bit old school and technology is often behind market, but good pay and treated well. Fort Myers office is cool but lackluster for Florida locationwise.

Intellectually stimulating work
You have to bring your A game and you have to stay on top of trends. Collaborative environment where you can learn every day. Culture is good and fosters personal growth.

Good environment to work in and very inclusive team.
Account Manager Intern (Former Employee) - Fort Myers, FL - September 11, 2023
The Sales Program was pretty manageable and I feel like gave a good view on the resources the company uses for its practices. It was all virtual which did make it feel isolated and can be awkward to network over a brief meeting.

Very relaxed and balanced work-life environment
Research Specialist (Former Employee) - Bengaluru, Karnataka - September 11, 2023
Gartner has amazing work culture. Management is good, they never stress you out. They also offer flexible working hours. You can choose to work at any time. It also has remote work options. Team members are very supportive and helpful.
Pros
Good work life balance, stress free environment, good people, flexible hours
Cons
Less compensation, less monetary benefits

Good
Private (Current Employee) - Private - September 10, 2023
Good organization overall. Certainly some areas that need drastic improvement but I feel they have best interests in mind. Can be cliquey as a culture though.

Great company great benefits hope you get a good leader
Director r&a (Current Employee) - United States - September 5, 2023
There's a lot of really smart people that work here. That's also a challenge when they think that they're smarter than the actual practitioners that they serve. Many people work in the organization have no functional experience in doing the job that's out there and are taking guesses at what it takes to succeed. Our research also focuses I'm being more provocative than actually pragmatic. Sometimes you need to set a good foundation or baseline to be able to do the cool stuff later on.

Great place to work
Business Development Executive (Current Employee) - Fort Myers, FL - September 5, 2023
Absolutely no complaints work for Gartner. Work life balance is fantastic and you are not micro managed in the slightest bit. There is plenty of change to progress in your role, and management has been very fair.

WFH is the best thing
Test Engineer (Current Employee) - Gurgaon, Haryana - September 4, 2023
Gartner pay scale is at lower side as per industry standards and promotions are very slow. Other than that, it provides WFH which is the best thing. The benifits and insurance policy is great. Advice for management: focus on growth of the employee.

Good Work/Life Balance
Manager, Client Success (Current Employee) - Fort Myers, FL - August 21, 2023
This is the best company I have worked for. They treat everyone with an employee first mindset and go out of their way to take care of employees. You get what you put into the job, but the screening and interviewing process is so crucial to the the hiring process that you work with only like minded individuals.

Good company, couple of bad eggs
Program Manager (Former Employee) - Stamford, CT - August 16, 2023
Overall, was a good place to work. If the company is doing well, you do well. The major con is that there isn't much accountability from HR for the few bad eggs who shouldnt be in leadership positions.

Great Product to Sell. Bad Burn Out Culture
Account Executive (Former Employee) - Remote - August 15, 2023
Great product to sell but a very old school style approach to treatment of employees. burn out is frequest there with a lot of turn over in sales. not a lot of freedom to gaiun new clients or go outside your prescribed territory so what you are handed is where your fate lies, sales wise. great compensation.
Pros
Pay
Cons
Overworked Culture

Great Company and Benefits
Research Engagement Specialist (Former Employee) - Fort Myers, FL - August 9, 2023
Benefits are great and starting pay is slightly above national average. However, promotions are difficult to attain. Your job performance is not considered during your interview, only what you do outside of your job. Advocacy from managers is lacking.

Great people some issues
Senior Consultant (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - August 5, 2023
- talent is not consistent (need to push people out that aren’t performing) - lovely people and culture - long promotion cycles and traditional view to promotion - short-term mindset

Fun place to work
VP (Current Employee) - Arlington, VA - August 3, 2023
Everybody is so kind at the organization but it is not diverse in certain roles and levels. Recently adopted a focus on DEI but they do not have a CDO.

Great
Client Success Associate (Former Employee) - Dallas County, TX - July 15, 2023
Great place to work here if you can put work before anything it’s a tough environment when AEs don’t do the right thing but other than that can take time off and is remote
