Worst place ever worked for. racist and incompetent senior management.Nepotism and discrimination is rampant.
SVP, Head of Customer Solutions (Former Employee) - Manama Bahrain - March 21, 2020
Enough said. If you have a choice stay away from GIB. Highly political. Groups by nationality create a toxic environment. The number of staff leaving is very high. The top management is very incompetent but thinks they are geniuses. Misplaced egos. Worst place to work for.

Long working hours, no job security.
Project Manager - Strategy (Former Employee) - Bahrain - May 22, 2019
Long working hours including weekends without overtime paid. No job security as all are hired as consultants instead of permanent staff. Huge discrepancy in pay between two employees with the same job title and within same department based on nepotism. No career advancement opportunities.
Pros
Good working culture and camaraderie between employees
Cons
Nepotism, high rate of staff turnover and no career advancement programs

Unstable and ruled by shiaa
Former victim (Former Employee) - Manama - February 15, 2017
After cutcost plan, shiaa is controlling whom to keep and whom to fire, work has no vision , bank is struggling.
Stupid IT managers are keeping outsource who are bluffing them and firing insource instead, playing dirty plan to support thier goals only and use cutcost plan as cover.
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Cheap low class health insurance, old blood HR people

The people in GIB are nice. The job advancement is a problem as there are no promotions and salary increases.
IT Infrastructure Manager (AVP) (Current Employee) - Manama - November 2, 2016
The work culture in GIB is moderate and it is just like any other place. The management is not stable and always changing. This creates a disturbance in the work flow and decisions are random and sometimes harmful. However, the people are very nice and the company always tries to promote family life style.
Pros
nice culture
Cons
poor management

Very productive environment
Senior Clerk Innovation (Former Employee) - Manama - February 20, 2016
I liked the way they treated employees. Transparency is something you can notice there. Collaborative work is encouraged. It's easy to communicate with any department's head since they have open offices for all employees.

Large bank with great vision
SVP, Head of Customer Solutions (Former Employee) - Bahrain - August 25, 2013
The bank has a gr8 vision to launch the first online bank in the Middle East but does not have the right management who would understand the work involved.
