This is a very strange company. They are extremely confused on what their strategy is. As a result, there is organizational restructuring every two years. And somehow, most of the people that are let go are the best performers. You can be top talent and the next day, you are asked to leave. They have been exiting their businesses all over the world just to make sure that they can give a good earnings report. Organic growth is slowing all over the world for them and they are losing big time in developing markets.

The day to day work is exhausting and it is primarily non stop meetings. So practically, no work gets done because you spend your time in meetings. And this is also due to the confusing matrix structure; you could be working in the middle east but are on the phone to Europe to align some person to get support for a decision for your market which he or she doesn't know about at all.

And on top, there is just too much nasty politics. Your career is not dependent on performance but on who is your mentor in the organization. That is why bad managers get ahead at the expense of good ones.
