Fun workplace but low and inconsistent pay

Managers were all awesome to work with, they cared about their employees and were hard workers themselves. Overall a very fun job but the low and inconsistent pay for drivers led me to search for other jobs. Would highly recommend to kids in high school (for in store employment)

Good and bad

Clear favoritism other than that it isn't too bad if a place great for first time job. But wouldn't suggest staying. Management is very picky and will often send a message to the manager on duty about any flaws they don't approve of

One small pizza for every shift or cheesy bread

Rarely breaks only breaks is when it's slow if that

Cool place

The environment is very laid back, just do what you’re suppose to do. The management is nice and understanding. Am and Pm shifts so you’re not there the entire day unless you request to work longer. Honestly a very easy job with really nice people.

Fast pace , productivity

It was just now and opening business, so I was kind of hectic and chaotic, but the people made it easier to get through the day … a lot of the workers never work before in their life so it was a lot of training

Will take a toll on you mental health

I've been here for close to a year, and I can comfortably say that this is not a great job. The Managers are not the problem. They would often go out their way to make sure you get what you ask for in the job, but I believe the owners have a tight hold on everything. I've been asking for a raise and more hours but it's very hard to get. When it comes to the raise my Managers do try to fight for it, but it's the owners that don't wanna budge. (I only asked for a couple of cents not a full dollar) I was always told that labor would have to be good for them to give me a raise. So when labor is bad they cut everyone's hours and even take days off of people schedules. So I often am put in a position where I do work by myself with one drive and most drivers are not trained to do inside work so when it's busy, its just me. This place will take a toll on your mental health, it will turn employees against each other, it's just not worth it. Plus if there is problems with other employees just know it will take a while before something actually gets done about. They love to avoid drama and needed punishment.

Started great, ended poorly

This job was great when I was hired. I live about 15 mins from the store, and I never really had any issues with pay, people, or the job itself, it's a very easygoing job. Throughout the summer though, it became progressively worse as a result of the ac breaking, as well as one higher up in particular that would ruin everyone's day. Everyone who worked in the store was great, everyone who would check in on the store was not. Had they fixed the ac and coached the right people, all of us would've stayed. Instead, all of us found better opportunities.

Fun and busy

Work place was fun and very busy. Upper management is helpful when you need assistance. Working weekends is usually a must unfortunately. Overall a fun and busy place to work

Good atmosphere for good employees

It's an easy job. If you can keep a routine and keep your head down this job is pretty easy. Depending on the store owner this company can be a really good job for people entering the work force. Unfortunately my store owners checks kept bouncing so it made getting paid difficult. No direct deposit either from this store owner. Honestly this store owner was really shady, but the managers were good. The gm was great and the company not too bad.

Amazing atmosphere and very fun, would recommend for first job.

A typical workday depends on where you are located but for me it usually pretty calm. Except for normal busy days like Fridays. Management for me was awesome and I loved both my general manager and my shift lead. The workplace culture is fun but also has a sense of professionalism. The hardest part of the job was the rush hour, you can start at like 400 and end with 3,000. The most enjoyable part was without a doubt my coworkers.

Misplaced prioritied

This is a weird environment. On some shifts they play the radio so loud you can't hear the customer well enough to assist them without making them repeat themselves and it's really embarrassing when customers come into the store. It's also almost impossible to communicate with each other and it shows by orders getting passed up or people cooking last in/first out. Kids come to work with no hats and management let's them work like it's not the law to wear one. The managers are terribly insecure and threatened in their positions and make decisions based upon that insecurity. They do work extremely hard and if they are judged on their ability to get prep work done they will get five stars. If they will be judged on their ability to effect a suitable professional working environment and maximize performance to provide the best product with the best service and increase sales and profits I bet business remains completely stagnant. Nobody wants to work in chaos and nobody should EVER feel the need to apologize for that. The customers feel this chaos.

Exhausting and unsatisfactory workplace.

Workplace itself is okay, my problem was the managers and culture. I was not taught in depth about the workplace by one of the managers, so the other had to step in and show me the way. I learned how to serve customers, take phone calls, make pizza, cut table. Management is pretty lousy unless the boss steps in. The culture is laid back and unprofessional. People would often talk about recreational drug use such as marijuana and mushrooms. I found that quite offensive and inappropriate. The most enjoyable part of the job was serving customers.

Great workplace with awesome management.

Working at Marco's was overall a good experience. As long as you work hard & don't slack off, it's smooth sailing. The management were also extremely friendly & welcoming. It did get difficult during rush, especially since my location had a severe issue with being understaffed.

The workplace is enjoyable only if the people are enjoyable, it's an easy and simple job.

I go into work around 2PM most days and stay till 9-11PM depending on the days if I close the store or not. I feel like i learned how to manage people better, working with others, as well as customer service. Management is fine, I like the GM of my store, does it feel like we are understaffed? Sometimes. The hardest part of the job is customer service. Our company policy is us being extremely nice to the customers, offering discounts and compensation which some people take advantage of and that can be infuriating. Not to mention some people decide to order 3 minutes before closing the store and we can't deny them service. As well as overly complicated orders people put in. All for $14 an hour The most enjoyable part is the people I work with. The only reason I've stayed around so long is because the people I work with is wonderful.

I Enjoyed My Stay

I enjoyed working for Marco's Pizza. The store I worked had a team with fantastic personalities. They were all helpful during my training and worked well together. Pay was fair and I made good tips.

Fun where I worked

I quite enjoy working there, lots of opportunity to grow but if you're looking to make a lot of money you're probably not going to but with how nice the peole there are there's plenty of chances for you too Make it into a manager position and the pay there is a lot more rewarding
