Fun workplace but low and inconsistent pay

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Managers were all awesome to work with, they cared about their employees and were hard workers themselves. Overall a very fun job but the low and inconsistent pay for drivers led me to search for other jobs. Would highly recommend to kids in high school (for in store employment)

Pros

Great managers, fun place to work, very nice owner

Cons

Low and inconsistent pay

Decent workplace

I worked at Marcos when I was younger and didn’t mind the lower pay. I would assume if I was older then I would’ve minded the pay. Taking phone calls a lot of the time and making pizzas was nice

They were ok

It is an ok job for someone who needs a fast interview and offer date. They asked me if I had worked in hospitality before, I said yes, I was working the next day. Just like any other restaurant.

It's the best place to work, if you want to learn how to make pizza from scratch.

What is the best part of working at the company?I would be scrubbing trays in the back of the store; while much younger employees were hiding behind flour sacks and on their phones. Once I hit 60 years old, I was let go.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Working the Cash Register! So many details to remember; and to know, quickly. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Okay; if you're young. No place for an older person to work, though. What is a typical day like for you at the company? In and out of the store within minutes. Climbing lots of stairs in the search of the right apartment.

Fast paced but no a money maker,

Not a job to get rich on. This is more of a job of passion. Hard to get into upper management but if you are good and quick and a hard worker you can make it fine.

Pros

Fast paced.

Cons

The industry will Work you to the bone and spit you out.

Very professional and productive if you make it that way.

What is the best part of working at the company? It's very entertaining and fun. As well as educational. You can grow with the company if you put your best foot forward. I was a delivery driver and prep for the store. I enjoyed it very much. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Well it's hard when other employees don't show up. But that was ok, cause it was more tips for me.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Weird at first but once you get to know your work crew. It surely becomes alright. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Busy because I was a delivery driver.

Good starter job for entry-level applicants

You mostly get scheduled for dinner shifts, which can get busy on Fridays and Saturdays. Insiders make pizzas, wash dishes, stock the toppings line, cut pizzas, and cash out customers. Management made sure the store was clean and fully stocked every day, so we rarely ran out of things. We had weekly and monthly cleaning items to do when the store was slow. Not a bad first job for someone with no experience - they train you for 2 weeks before you start making food.

Pros

Helpful and supportive management & coworkers, training provided, 20% store discount

Cons

No breaks unless you work a 7 hour shift, Small store and loud oven made it hard to hear people

Lies

I was hired to become Assistant Manager. Never was I told that I would be getting a working assessment. Three weeks go by and without proper training they say I'm not doing enough to be a AM and they are going to demote me. Then they changed their mind to give me 1 more week of training. During that one week they still don't show me exactly what they want from a AM. The area supervisor even said they would work with me one night to show me exactly what needed to be done. That didn't happen and at the end of the week they decided not to demote me but instead they just let me go. It worked out good for me though because I was immediately hired somewhere that pays a lot more.

Pros

Fun environment if you can handle the stress when it's busy.

Cons

Below average pay, poor communication, horrible work/life balance.

Decent pay but very unprofessional

Decent pay but very unprofessional. Easy job delivering pizza. They will usually work around your schedule as much as possible so it was great while finishing college.

its ok

I have been working here for about 4 years while in school. Not a terrible place to work, interesting people to work with, flexible hours, but you are mainly just in and out of the store making deliveries.

Fun job, low pay

The pay is horrible, but the work is easy. I always had a good time there, and I never had any complaints about work. However, I didn’t make nearly enough, and raises were few and far between.

Work review

The people are great, fun to be around. Always understaffed so everyday you are working harder. Management was all right, gave time off when you needed it.

Pros

50% off meals

Cons

No raises or promotions. Always under staffed.

Productive

It was chill and fast paced had chill workers making the day go fast, closing was rare if it wasn’t that busy you would be let off early about a hour early

It's fun

I've been working here for 2 years now its a good starter job I basically do everything there cash, answer phones, cook, cut table it can be laid back which is fun about it the tips are good for a starter it's low but when u get used to the environment u get more tips as far as pay raise no the indeed application says u get a raise due time but u don't so its kinda hard bc u want to make money nd save but u can't bc sometimes the pay is low when u get less hours I'd say it's more of a starter job tho not one u would stay at jus a job for when ur outta school and want to make money for the time being the job is fun tho only reason I won't leave bc making free there is fun and we have done secret Santa before there and threw a birthday party for my managers daughter so marcos is a fun job nd loving one at that :)

It's a decent job as a stepping stone.

My former job was a decent stepping stone with room for improvement. While it had its flaws, it provided valuable experience to propel my career forward.

My location was great.

Worked with relatable, mostly down-to-earth people at my location in Vegas. Gus was a great manager, and very understanding for any personal situation that might come up. So long as you got your work down, and worked well, It felt as though you could be yourself. Chill people, chill environment (unless it was a rush of course).

Pros

Discount, Great management, Easy work

Cons

Not really much room to advance

Not what it seems

This job is definitely the easiest job you will ever have in your life BUT don’t be fooled the company is corrupt with money loving owners, 9 times out of 10 you will be left alone to do everything by yourself and the management is absolutely atrocious me myself being a shift lead for this company has been terrible and there is no way to please the owners of the store you are working in, the pay is terrible and the employees are lazy. But the place is very relaxed and chill and you can be comfortable talking about anything.

Pros

Comfortable people and work environment

Cons

Terrible upper management and owners
