Fun workplace but low and inconsistent pay

Managers were all awesome to work with, they cared about their employees and were hard workers themselves. Overall a very fun job but the low and inconsistent pay for drivers led me to search for other jobs. Would highly recommend to kids in high school (for in store employment)

Chronic understaffing and minimum wage with no raises

It's a minimum wage job and your experience will mostly depend on who your manager is. Although, even good managers can't fix the high turnover rate of the industry.

Decent Pizza, Decent Job

Was a quality job to work throughout my undergrad. Worked some late hours, but to be expected. Good scheduling and coverage. Free food after the late night pickups never arrive.

Good coworkers and management but low pay

Great management and coworkers that value you. Often times you can be understaffed but is manageable. Great online courses that can help you understand how to make certain menu items the correct way.

My experience

I used to work here couple hears ago, i was pretty young 16-17 years old. The management was off, I was told I would receive benefits but when asking for them I was told they would be coming soon, never received them to be honest don’t remember what. I was doing More work than was told and paid for, so example I would be doing Shift lead and management work when I was only crew member, they told me I would be paid for it but my check said otherwise. Didn't only happen to me but to a lot of workers…this is only happened in one location not sure if it’s happened with multiple. I only worked there for 7 months or less.

Good for a part time gig

All hands are on deck working here. I was hired as a driver but you are going to be cleaning making pizzas, ordering food all with very little training. I did not mind doing the other duties but wished that was explained in the interview or at least in the job description. The workplace culture was terrible as well. The employees were very stand offish, they rarely ever spoke to me unless they were telling me to deliver pizza or make pizza a certain way. They were extremely short staffed, they had me delivering pizza for 5-6 orders without ever properly training me. Management was 'okay' but I only saw him like twice. When I did see him,he was too preoccupied to actually 'train' me to do things outside of the job description. I love Marco's pizza as a restaunt but def not as an employee.

Generally a good place to work

Marcos wouldn’t be so bad if the management actually cared about their employees and customers. Rather than coaching employees, management will scream at them in front of everyone. Yell at the customers.

Toxic Managment Practices

The few people who work in these stores are overall great people to work with. But you will be overworked, underpaid, and treated like garbage by the management.They will outright lie to you about everything from wages to hours. They will change your schedule mid-week (often less than 24-48 hours before the shift) without informing you. Worst pizza place to work for in town.

Dishonest and manipulative management. Stolen wages, verbal abuse, and much more.

Extremely toxic workplace environment, management poorly cares for employees, management poorly cares for restaurant cleaning.

While working there i was overworked and under appreciated, management did not care about directing its employees, extremely dirty environment, rude with customers and several complaints.

Pros

If crew pies are made(rarely), free lunch.

Cons

No breaks, assigned schedules, limited bathrooms.

Fun workplace environment but outdated rating

I haven't worked at Marco's for approximately 1 1/2 years, so take what I say with a grain of salt. The work environment was very friendly and understanding for the most part. I had the morning shift so things weren't nearly as hectic as near closing hours but the occasional school/work party. The training was fun and the staff were very patient. I don't know who works there now, but it was a great way for me to start in the workforce. I would have worked there longer if it weren't for me pursuing college full-time.

Fast pace sometimes, usually slow pace and always washing dishes

I was the number 1 driver according to stats and never called in. Being a driver there is NO room for growth. They pay minimum wage I Ran thru 3 cars

Upper management doesn’t care, don’t work here, trust me

I worked here about a year, it’s an absolute nightmare, upper management won’t care about you and you will burn out at this job once you realize that your working really hard for nothing

Good Place

it was a good first job, the pay was fair for the work you do. it was relatively easy, it just gets hard around rush hour. The management was very considerate and checked on me when I'd take breaks from getting overwhelmed.

Vapes

Making pizzas was pretty fun, workers were really nice. Yes i am a smoker so i enjoy smoke breaks BUT i have a problem with puffing AS YOUR MAKING THE PIZZA. yes its a VAPE but really... As your making food an do you think the guy that pulled up at drive thu really needed that POOF he got from you when you opened the window? Smh. From managers to the employees. NOT COOL

Horrible

POOR management, ONE discount altogether on food. Manager is very rude, holds new employees to a very high expectation level. Rude, does not care for your outside life, its all about work.

Friendly and fun workplace

The workplace is very nice and friendly. The workflow is good and everyone is really nice. The scheduling is also very flexible as they do allow you to choose which times work best for you.

Flexible and thats it

3 years and I still haven't received proper training. Good at your job? Great, now you can do the job of 5 other people. Cover shifts too often? Great, now you'll only be scheduled 3 days in case somebody calls out so you don't go into overtime. Aww, what do you mean you don't want to cover anymore? We really really need your help :( Not considered for a pay raise because of the risk of overtime, yet my store falls apart when I'm gone for too long. I'm just supposed to be a delivery driver :) Unlimited time off is great I guess?
