Decent pay...
General Manager (Current Employee) - Woodstock, GA - September 15, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedWhen my paychecks don't bounce...which has happened 4 times in 6 months. The owner can't follow through with simple requests like paying a technician to repair the walk in cooler. And communication is extremely poor.

Fun and busy
General Manager (Former Employee) - Texas - September 1, 2023
Work place was fun and very busy. Upper management is helpful when you need assistance. Working weekends is usually a must unfortunately. Overall a fun and busy place to work

Work review
General Manager (Current Employee) - Texas - August 7, 2023
The people are great, fun to be around. Always understaffed so everyday you are working harder. Management was all right, gave time off when you needed it.
Pros
50% off meals
Cons
No raises or promotions. Always under staffed.

Soul-sucking
General Manager (GM) (Current Employee) - Dyersburg, TN - July 5, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? That you can be late and not wear a uniform if high up What is the most stressful part about working at the company? They don't care about you or your life and pay is bad but can get a job fast bc so many can't work like this which is by yourself most of the time And super busy What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Figure it out yourself and if you do something wrong or if something happens you'll be thrown under the bus and you have to beg to get the right or fair pay What is a typical day like for you at the company? Go in count the money set up the store and do prep with me and my driver sometimes an insider but they want you to run insane labor so you basically have to be you (manager)and only a driver unless they're busy enough to have more

Pros
Tip out every two weeks
Cons

I was promoted to gm and had very little training
General Manager (Former Employee) - Onalaska, WI - March 18, 2023
When I was promoted to general manager the same time someone off the street came in as a direct hire for general manager and got pushed to the side when I put in the heart and soul within the company to get my promotion and was untrained in alot of situations and expected to learn on my own and when things needed to be fixed they had excuses
Pros
Friendly environment to work
Cons
Lack of training when dms are swamped or having health issues

No balance whatsoever, unrealistic expectations
General Manager (Current Employee) - McKinney, TX - March 12, 2023
Currently working bare minimum 60 hrs a week 7 days a week, they’d have you work 8 days a week if that were humanly possible. You are constantly told to do this this and that, but as soon as you do this this or that all of a sudden you’re in trouble for doing what was asked if you.
Pros
The job itself at its root is incredibly easy, just be aimed unattainable when upper management gets involved.
Cons
Unrealistic expectations from upper management. Being micromanaged.

Free Pizza sometimes, sometimes nice employees
General Manager (Former Employee) - Rancho Bernardo, CA - February 24, 2023
Usually hires a lot of high school kids so there may be a lot of stupid workplace drama, as a driver you make good tips and a decent workload, fun environment,
Pros
Free pizza, nice employees and owner
Cons
Rarely takes breaks, busy

Do not be a GM here
General Manager (GM) (Current Employee) - Hobart, IN - February 9, 2023
This company will give terrible pay, micromanage their GMs, and work their managers into the ground. I loved my job until I got into management and made no money, had so many responsibilities, and had a mental health decline due to stress, being overworked, and not being able to pay my bills.

Don't ever make plans outside of work
General Manager (Former Employee) - Bacons bridge rd - November 24, 2022
They expect you to sell your soul and family away to be able to work at any time if needed. I tried to take a day off and was fired the next day bc people called out and I had plans already. Zero help from upper management
Pros
Pay is decent
Cons
No work/home balance

General Manager (Former Employee) - Clearwater, FL - October 5, 2022
What is the best part of working at the company? N/A; very physically and mentally demanding expect salaried employees making about 850-950 per week to work roughly 80-90 hours per week. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The constant time away from family; I did plumbing for 3 years and this drained me more. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Demanding and degrading. What is a typical day like for you at the company? 9am to 11pm..

Fun workplace
General Manager (Former Employee) - Salisbury, NC - September 22, 2022
It's fun when management is all on board. But when they weren't the job is chaotic. The owner will close a store without notice or regards for the employees staffed at said stores.
Cons
No benefits and the private owner is a bigot and manipulator

Toxic workplace
General Manager (Current Employee) - Port Richey, FL - August 28, 2022
The owner protects his favorite employees. It’s a toxic work environment, nothing but gossip And the same people who act like your friends are the same people who are running their mouth about you. They are not a team, they would rather see you fail then see you succeed

Fun and fast pace
General Manager (Current Employee) - Cincinnati, OH - August 27, 2022
Fun place to work. Good for experience. Easy. The pay is so so. But not really to bad if you do your job properly. Not that great of work life balance

Over worked and underpaid
General Manager (Former Employee) - New Brighton, PA - June 17, 2022
I worked as the manager for almost 7 years and when I got injured, they ignored it. When I finally stood up and took a few days off, I got fired! I would not recommend working here. I gave up years of my life and my kids life that I will never get back. No work life balance at all. They want to work u like a dog with no reward at all.

Great company and supportive ownership
General Manager (Current Employee) - Fishers, IN - May 30, 2022
Marco's is a great company to work for. Local ownership takes an active role in supporting and growing the business. The environment and customer base is best in the pizza industry!
