I've been here for close to a year, and I can comfortably say that this is not a great job. The Managers are not the problem. They would often go out their way to make sure you get what you ask for in the job, but I believe the owners have a tight hold on everything. I've been asking for a raise and more hours but it's very hard to get. When it comes to the raise my Managers do try to fight for it, but it's the owners that don't wanna budge. (I only asked for a couple of cents not a full dollar) I was always told that labor would have to be good for them to give me a raise. So when labor is bad they cut everyone's hours and even take days off of people schedules. So I often am put in a position where I do work by myself with one drive and most drivers are not trained to do inside work so when it's busy, its just me. This place will take a toll on your mental health, it will turn employees against each other, it's just not worth it. Plus if there is problems with other employees just know it will take a while before something actually gets done about. They love to avoid drama and needed punishment.

i worked there for a while enjoyed it in the beginning but management has really gone downhill and they don’t care about their employees. pay also sucks

easy job

this is a good first job. the work environment can get a little overwhelming. everyone is young for the majority. the owners were a bit (very) aggravating though.

Good coworkers and management but low pay

Great management and coworkers that value you. Often times you can be understaffed but is manageable. Great online courses that can help you understand how to make certain menu items the correct way.

Needs serious help

Fast paced when the business is there but a lot of sensitive employees. They can't take constructive criticism because of how someone talks to them. More worried about emotion than getting the business right.

Depends on the owners

Make sure the owners are nice people. The menu, customers and prep are easy. My problem was the owners used people and didn’t pay what they promised. I would work for a Marco’s location again if it was a different one. I enjoyed making the dough and making pizzas all day.

Fun, team oriented, accountability

The store I was a shift lead at when I worked for Marco's was great. The fellow Shift leads that helped me accomplish the duties that could only be completed by members of management were always pretty easy to work with and everyone was happy to do their part no matter what. I had committed team members as well as a great general manager.

A very well organized opportunity to grow and be apart of wanting to move up in the company

What is the best part of working at the company?I was a shift lead in Raleigh N,C the food is great and I’m sure our customers where satisfied. We stayed open until 3AM on weekends and 1Am on weekdays so I was responsible for locking up the nights I worked I would love to be back working for the Marcos company What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Making sure big orders get out in a timely manner and every customer is satisfied with there product it’s not stressful it’s just trying to be the best What is the work environment and culture like at the company?It was great in Raleigh but I’ve never worked at the store in Asheville What is a typical day like for you at the company?Smooth running and professional

Fun environment good pay

Good place to work excelllent people and the pizza is awesome highly recommend this to anyone needing to get a job and good career started i wouldn't say anything bad about this its great and a comfortable atmosphere

No benefits; no employee meal. No growth.

Management/owner micromanages, treats employees like little league teammates does not do damage control, 2 out of 10 place to work( San Fernando Valley CA locations). Best part of job afe the teammembers who should be treated better.

Fun but high expectations

nice coworkers, uncomplicated tasks, corporate is a bit incompetent so don't expect anything but disappointment from anyone above regional.only issue is expectations.be faster>higher expectations>not fast enough>incident>be faster; repeat ad infinitum.

Fun people, bad management

The manager is very inexperienced. Schedules all over the place. Alone at nights with no help. Didnt care if you drowned in orders or not. Way high turn over rate due to high pressure environment. People are chill and friendly but the work is hard and definitely not worth the pay.

Okay for kids.

Not a job for serious applicants. Leadership in stores is lacking. Wages are questionable at best. My time with marcos was shady and wouldn't recommend working here.

High turnover

This company has a high turnover. Good employees are often underpaid and overlooked for roles of advancement. The staff is pretty small and minimal due to the high turnover. The job itself is simple, straight forward, and fairly easy. Team moral is generally low because it is not a very engaging environment and it can be very high stress during rushes or dealing with difficult customers.

Was given shift lead role starting pay was super low and then was told by the other manager in the store that THEY would be deciding if I ever got a pay increase..

What can I say

To many call offs. They want you to do all the work while everyone sitting around. Never enough product to do the work. And when you need a day off and you put in for it they still scheduled you for that day.

Not bad for a franchise

The company was ok. The owner was ok. Sometimes short staffed. Was allowed free food as a shift supervisor.Didn't follow up with a few prank orders shortly after an employee left under questionable circumstances.

Best place I worked at in years.

I love working at this Marcos pizza the store owner is awesome and keeps the job fun and entertaining. The store owner cares about all of their employees no matter what difficult situation is at hand. Another thing I love about this job is the costumers we serve. Most of them are super kind and super funny. They are part on the reason I love to get up and go to work everyday.

I love working here, the management was great and it was easy to take time off. There was nothing hard about the job it is a good environment for kids and adults. Everyone gets along with each other!!

Do not care about employees

They would let you go a full 8+ hours without a break, don't let you call out when sick, always took advantage of good employees, always being called in

Good luck seriously

I loved this job at first. I was just getting back into the workforce and they seemed excited to have me join the team. After about 6 months things went downhill. The environment was a completely mess, ingredients were being left out all day, and just bad attitudes from managers. I ended up quitting when I was told at my 1 year review that because of a drop in sales they were cutting my hours when i only recieved 15-20hrs and was listed as a full time employeeto begin with.. Also deciding factor in leaving was a particular managers attitude toward white people.
