Hard work but good money. Long hours and bad management. Overall company can be good for your personal life because of the money you can make. Good equipment also.

Pros

Good money and benefits

Cons

Poor management.

It’s a great company I think and everyone should work there. Go apply and enjoy the great pay! The place has great insurance and benefits so yeah do it now

Bad coworker

La empresa es buena como tal pero tiene mal manejo en la supervisión y gerencia totalmente incompetente turnos demasiados prolongados y demasiado favoritismo con personas incompetentes

Only perk would be insurance.

If you enjoy going home on time, this is not the job for you. They can hold you for a mandatory 16 hours if they want. And if you work hard they will use you up and let the lazy people remain lazy. Very unfortunate but it’s the sad reality. With this being said the insurance is Blue Cross Blue Shield, great insurance. The work is relatively easy. But they work certain departments to the bone.

Pros

Insurance

Cons

16 hour shifts

High paying

Great paying job for someone who doesn't mind putting in the work. Hand truck and ramp style delivery. Put in the work, and you can make all the money you want. Very good 401k and decent insurance .

Good place good people

Hard work but good pay. Good group of people working there. 3 days off a week. The work is hard but you get used to it if you put in the effort. Not bad.

Hard work

This used to be a good place to work but with inflation the pay does not match the amount of work that is expected. Benefits are good but keep going up every year to the point where the small raisins you do not see on your check

Over worked and loss time with family

Working in McLane was the worse mistakes I've ever made. They over work you for the pay. They don't care about family time and there always writing you up for calling out sick. Another thing is that they have sick time accumulation and they expect you to request a sick time in the calendar book when you don't even know when your going to be sick... They don't even except doctor's notes to even cover you for the day you called out. They have really bad and poor management and within the supervisors there is never good communication. There always all over the place. On top of that there is no appreciation or graditude to great and hard working employees.. They don't care about your health or your safety neither. If you get hurt on the job for anything, they question you about it, make you take a drug test and if something was your fault, they will fire you instantly. They even time your breaks...

Pros

Payable job

Cons

Bad management

Bad work environment

Bad management, they overwork the people who have been there for years so that the new/lazy people don’t have to pull as much weight. They lie about the hours, there’s a lot of a** kissing, supervisors show favoritism etc i can go on and on. Mclane was a good company when I started but as the years went by it slowly went south

Productive and fun place to work!

Management shows favoritism to who they like or may have a crush on! Some inappropriate stuff going on in breakpack but great money! You may get off later than you where expecting!

Poor management

The management team here is horrible. They will not communicate about anything going, late loads equipment breaking down. They don’t care about driver safety. Loads could be falling down on top of you and all you get is take pictures and get it off the truck. Will tell you to start your day in sleeper berth even when knowing you are helping your teammate run case into customers. An the frosting on top is they will mess your pay check up and tell you next check. Some guys have been owed thousands of dollars and had to wait 2 or 3 pay periods to get their money. If I had know it was this bad here I would of never came.

Hard work, great pay!

Really hard work but you’re compensated well for the work you do. Extra board sucks and sticking it out until you get off that board can be a challenge.

never again

mclane is the worse place to work, no proper training, lack of equipment , working 18-22 hrs with no home life because when your off all you want to do is sleep

so much potential, poor management

truck driver class Aa typical work day is a lot of stress and issues like, your tools; hand car and bars can be taken by anyone, even if you have them secure, someone is going to cut the chain and took them. The loaders dont place properly the loads, you can have the first stop merchandise at the end or in the middle, you got the point right? Lack of maintenance; other drivers leaving food on the truck, so your 3rd partner to work is a cockroach or her whole family (team work wujuuu) Lack of management and common sense, they dont do the logistics and routes (florida) is Texas!!!... they dont know our traffic, nothing they are not here!

Pros

pay

Cons

management, work ethics, poor or non knowledge of supervision and managements'

No sense of direction

They bring you in with money. That's really all the company offers. Company rewards hard workers with even more work. Co workers will bat an eye to the "teamwork" that is highly preached there. Money is only good for so long, until you realize there's more to life than stacking boxes for a living.

Pros

Pizza days

Cons

Pizza days and management

Great Pay, Terrible Management and Expectations

This job offers great pay incentives, but the management is terrible and often oversteps their bounds. I was recently told I shouldn't plan anything within 14 hours before or after my shift in case the company needed me... I don't get on-call pay, and there isn't even that much time between my shifts regularly... Company also has major safety issues with the equipment and doesn't repair anything written up.

Pros

Good Money

Cons

Poor equipment maintenance, No work-life balance, Incompetent Managment
