A good short term visit

You'll be dealing with an average of 3 cases per day. And you need to maintain the customer satisfaction, so basically you need to be lucky to get the CSAT score, if not you can just steal the easy cases and survive there. For the time being it will be okay but you can't survive once you decide to come out. Overall it takes time to become a developer after coming out from Salesforce.

Lieu de travail agréable et Teletravail

Prise en compte du bien-être des employés, bureaux exceptionnels, télétravail accepté, ambiance bienveillante, anti-harcèlement, outils de travail innovants et dernier cri.

Culture's deteriorating by the day now

It used to be a really good company to work for before the "Activist Investors" came on board. But management has been coming up with metrics just for the sake of it. Things are really getting worse by the day.

Empty promises and a toxic culture

I think the culture took a hit in 2022 with AEs under lots of pressure due I suspect to an expected tech downturn and possibly fears of a US recession which are possibly subsiding now. The work from home policy definitely did not help with new AE on-boarding but I understand that is changing now.

Ymmv

Your experience largely depends on the team you support. Culture is going downhill, changes with activist investors have caused all unique aspects of Salesforce (wfh, work life balance, ohana) to go away in favor of a more Amazon-like approach.

So many meetings and highly stressful

The V2MOM is a total farce. I just copied my manager’s totally. There were performance reviews but they didn’t relate to V2MOM.There is a tonne of pressure and extra hours and mistakes were thrown in your face over and over. Manager constantly threatened PIP, and had zero empathy.

Pros

Not much

Cons

Long hours

Stressful but productive

Lots of work to get done but job is fair and productive. High expectations and quotas set by management but compensation and environment is good. Not for everyone but can be rewarding

It’s all about the people

Good, smart, hardworking people who work at Salesforce. That was the most enjoyable and rewarding part of working at Salesforce. There’s a great deal of opportunities for advancement and lateral moves.

competitive salary and focus on employee wellness are attractive, the negative aspects is there.

Pros:Investment in Employee Wellness: The company's commitment to employee wellness and health is a significant pro. This indicates that they care about their employees' well-being and are willing to invest in it.Fixed Timing: Having fixed working hours can be a benefit for some people, as it allows for better work-life balance and predictability in your daily schedule.Competitive Compensation: A salary of 22 LPA (Lakhs Per Annum) is a substantial amount and suggests that the company offers a competitive compensation package. This can provide financial security and stability.Cons:Changing Work Environment: If the work environment has changed from initially being happy to one with excessive pressure and workload, it's a significant concern. A negative work environment can affect your mental and physical health over time.Micromanagement: Micromanagement can be frustrating and counterproductive, as it doesn't allow employees the autonomy they need to perform their best.Inconsistent Management: If only a few managers understand and support employees, it can create a challenging work environment. Consistency in leadership and management is essential for a healthy workplace.Mental Disturbance: The statement that you will be mentally disturbed is a significant con. Prolonged mental stress can have serious health consequences, so it's essential to consider how the work environment might impact your overall well-being.

Overall, I did like my job and team at Salesforce. I was somewhat challenged and enjoyed the work we did. I also received great benefits.

What is the best part of working at the company?Benefits include time off, pay, and potential stock options. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Leadership and constant change. Leadership is not always very experienced and they are not transparent. The biggest issue, you never know if you will have a job or if your job, role, and or manager will change. There is always a reorg. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?I don't feel there is really a culture but the environment is hostile and all over the place. You never know who you can escalate to or if you can. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Up and down. Leadership does not provide much direction. But, if you are a driver, you will spend most of your time-fighting fires.

Great company to work for

Generous benefits. No negativity with working from home (teams are dispersed everywhere). Friendly work culture. But, been here too long - my pay isn't competitive anymore.

What is the best part of working at the company? One of the worst contracts I've ever had. Very low pay and toxic environment. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? No support from higher ups with very high expectations. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?SalesForce has an amazing mission, but it's not reflected in daily interactions with coworkers and supervisors. What is a typical day like for you at the company?High stress with little to zero support.

Culture has shifted - it's not what it used to be

Culture has definitely shifted, they are trying to cut corners to keep their pockets thick. It used to be an amazing place to work, not anymore. They are hiring folks outside of CA to pay lower rates.

Challenging and rewarding

Solid company. Great benefits. Challenging work as an program architect. Do be aware that the organizational structure changes frequently which can be disruptive and stressful.

Decent WLB but getting worse, Tech can be better

The tech is slowly evolving here vs other companies. Also the comp isn't bad but not top tier like Faang. WLB used to be the best but high performance culture has me worried.
